The Coronavirus pandemic has brought a number of harsh realities to our city in particular and across the country in general. We have learnt that when tough times come around a lot of people are impacted and our residents are no exception.
From that experience, we as a city have been able to assist many of our residents with our weekly food drive. We have come to understand that persons of all socio-economic backgrounds are grateful for this assistance.
We therefore give our heartiest gratefulness to all who have facilitated the drive thus far, from the suppliers to the County which has offered funding to the incredible Miramar staffers and volunteers who have made this venture possible.
I will venture to say, after nearly seventeen years of serving as commissioner in our fair city, this has been one of the most gratifying undertaking I have ever been involved in.
Commissioner Winston F. Barnes.
