Miami-Dade County Commissioner Jean Monestime will host the Sixth Annual Haitian History Bee Championship on Wednesday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Miami-Dade County Commission Chamber on the second floor of the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW 1st St.
Schools will compete for trophies and prizes as students get quizzed on their knowledge of Haitian history.
“This annual event is a great way for young people to get excited about learning Haiti’s fascinating history and its impact on our hemisphere and the world,” Commissioner Monestime said.
