The City of North Miami will host a Memorial Ceremony to Honor 9/11 Victims and Heroes on the 20 th Anniversary of the Attacks

As we approach the 20 th Anniversary of the
September 11 attacks, the City of North Miami and the North Miami Police Department will
host a Memorial Ceremony on Saturday, September 11 th , to honor the victims and remember
the heroes. The event will begin at 10:00 a.m., and it will be held at Griffing Park (located at
the intersection of NE 123 Street and West Dixie Highway, North Miami, FL 33161).
This special ceremony will feature the following program:
 Opening Remarks by North Miami Police Major Donald Blanchard
 Presentation of Colors
 Pledge of Allegiance by North Miami’s Chief of Police Larry Juriga and Miami-Dade
Fire Rescue’s Division Chief Faye Davis
 National Anthem
 Invocation by Pastor Lucdel “Luke” Harrigan
 Remarks by North Miami Mayor Philippe Bien-Aime
 Wreath Dedication (at 10:28 a.m. observe a moment of silence)
 God Bless America
 Closing
This event is free and open to the public. All guests must follow COVID-19 guidelines by
