Applications Now Open for Commissioner Gilbert’s 2025 Safe Summers Initiative

As summer approaches, Commissioner Oliver G. Gilbert, III is reaffirming his commitment to youth safety and enrichment through the 2025 Safe Summers Initiative. As part of this commitment, the Office of Commissioner Gilbert is proud to announce the launch of the 2025 Safe Summers Initiative- providing supplemental funding to enhance existing summer programs within District 1.

Youth summer programs operating in District 1 are encouraged to apply for funding to help expand their services and ensure more children have access to positive, engaging experiences while school is out.

To qualify, programs must be located within District 1 and serve children and families in the community during the summer months.

Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 18, 2025. All required documentation must be submitted at the time of application.
