Today, Baptist Health celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its new emergency room (ER) in Miami Lakes, marking a significant expansion of emergency care in the community. The 19,700-square-foot facility, which will operate as a department of Baptist Health Doctors Hospital, will be open 24/7.
Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services, led the ceremony, joined by Baptist Health leadership, city officials, and esteemed medical professionals. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facility, featuring 20 exam rooms, a dedicated triage area, advanced imaging services, including CT scans, ultrasounds, and x-rays, as well as an on-site laboratory and pharmacy – all designed to streamline emergency care.
“At Baptist Health, we are constantly looking for ways to better serve our communities,” said Nancy Batista-Rodriguez, CEO of Baptist Outpatient Services. “We are proud to expand access to life-saving services in a facility designed for efficient, compassionate and comprehensive care.”
This state-of-the-art facility will bring exceptional, personalized care closer to home for this community, ensuring patients can receive convenient, high-quality treatment when they need it the most. This new location will complement existing Baptist Health services in the area, including Baptist Health Urgent Care and Baptist Health Virtual Urgent Care on the mobile PineApp.

“We’re honored to bring this vital resource to the Miami Lakes community,” said Luis Bellmas, corporate vice president of Imaging for Baptist Health. “Emergencies can happen at any time, and access to quality care close to home can make all the difference.”
“This facility represents a milestone for Baptist Health and the Miami Lakes community. We look forward to making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients,” added Lourdes Boue, CEO of Baptist Health Doctors Hospital.
Located at 15200 NW 77 Court, the facility will begin treating patients on March 6, 2025. For more information, please visit BaptistHealth.net/
