Nestled in the lush park of Palmetto Bay is Coral Reef Elementary. For over fifty-six years Coral Reef Elementary has been a pillar of excellence, providing students from the Palmetto Bay Community as well as Miami-Dade County with an exemplary educational experience, rich in rigorous instruction as evidenced by being designated an “A” school from the Florida Department of Education.
Although Coral Reef Elementary has a long tradition of academic excellence, it has also focused on developing each student’s social and emotional wellbeing. In doing so, CRE has strived to nurture the Social / Emotional wellbeing of all students through teaching kindness, character and values. This strong foundation of values has developed a wonderful group of children who are empathetic and truly care about each other and the greater community as evidenced through the many service projects our students participate in.
Moreover, at the core of the foundation of these groups is fostering a strong sense of acceptance among the student body.
