Enjoy an Evening by the Bay, an outdoor after-hours experience at Deering Estate, 16701 SW 72 Ave., on Wednesday, Mar. 24, 6-9 p.m., surrounded by culture and history, with views of Biscayne Bay.

Bring your own food and refreshments for a picnic under the stars. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and small picnic baskets. Please note that the following items are not permitted: large coolers, open flames/candles, balloons and pop-up tents/umbrellas.

The historic house museum will not be accessible at this event.

Cost is $10 per person (ages 4 and older; members and non-members). Tickets can be purchased online at deeringestate.org. For more information, please visit the Deering Estate website.

Guests must practice social distancing, wear face coverings (ages 2 and up), and are not allowed to gather in groups larger than 10 people. Sanitation stations are available throughout the event. You may remove your face covering while actively eating or drinking, but you must remain stationary and maintain physical distancing. Sales are non-refundable, rain or shine.

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920s era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chairman of the International Harvester Company. The Deering Estate is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department.
