Join in on Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 6 to 9 p.m., for after-hours admission to Deering Estate and enjoy an Evening by the Bay with a Halloween twist.
Pack a picnic and enjoy a drink with friends while picnicking under the stars. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs, and small picnic baskets. Please note that the museums are closed for this event.
Just in time for Halloween, guests of all ages can wear their family-friendly Halloween costumes at the October Evening by the Bay. Please review the costume guidelines online at deeringestate.org. Guests also can enjoy a family-friendly Halloween-themed story-time at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. featuring fun, spooky stories, songs and activities presented by the Miami-Dade Public Library System. Geared for ages 3–8 years, but everyone will have a bone-chilling good time.
Cost is $10 per person (ages 4 and older); members and non-members. Purchase tickets online. Capacity/tickets are limited. Tickets are required for all guests (both members and non-members). No sales at the gate, no walk-ins/no walk-ups.

The Deering Estate preserves the 1920s era Miami estate of Charles Deering, Chicago industrialist, early preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, philanthropist and first chair of the International Harvester Company.
The Deering Estate is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. The Deering Estate is located at 16701 SW 72 Ave. in Palmetto Bay.
