Limited enrollment slots are currently available for after-school and seasonal camps for people with disabilities at area Miami-Dade Parks locations. Participants are advised to register now before programs fill to capacity.
These specialized camps are presented by Miami-Dade Parks’ Disability Services division and are managed by Certified
Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Participants will have an enriching camp experience that includes sports, swimming, arts and crafts, and field trips.
The after-school camps are condcuted Monday-Friday, from 2 to 5 p.m. Seasonal and Teacher Work Day camps are offered on school recess days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
To receive transportation services from school to the park, parents must request an IEP meeting at school, then have “transportation” added to the IEP.
