The Full Moon Yoga Series at the Deering Estate, 16701 SW 72 Ave. in Palmetto Bay, provides an opportunity to enjoy the sunset and end of the day, while welcoming the full moon at one of the area’s most beautiful settings.
Each session will host a guest or special theme to make for a unique experience. The first session is on Sunday, Apr. 29, 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.
Session 1 features Full Moon Warriors — Budokon: the Way of the Warriors Spirit with Noosha Mamoudhi. Noosha is a scientist, and when she is not at the university opening young minds to her intensive love for nature and the environment, she is teaching a number of classes at LA Fitness, from Spinning to Bootcamp to Yoga.
She became fascinated by Budokon Yoga Mixed Martial Arts movement and received her certification by Cameron Shayne, the founder of Budokon Yoga at BDK Academy in Miami. Budokon unique spinal rolling movement coupled with an infusion of martial arts and calisthenics have been the signature of this style.
Noosha believes that yoga is a journey from your mind to your muscles. Yoga is not about a pose (asana), rather, it is the journey that takes us to the pose.
