PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Palmetto Bay, Florida has enacted a Resolution (Resolution 2021-39) changing the name (co-designating) the portion of SW 82nd Avenue between SW 136th Street and SW 160th Street as “Larry Barfield Avenue” in honor of Larry Barfield. This name change is effectively immediately and has been duly recorded with the United States Postal Service.
The Street Dedication and Sign Unveiling Ceremony is to be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 10:00 AM at the intersection of SW 82nd Avenue between SW 136th Street and SW 160th Street.
This public notice is in accordance with Village Ordinance 2005-12 relating to re-naming or co-designate Village facilities, roads, streets and public ways within Village boundaries for individuals that have made a significant contribution to the community, furthering the Village’s good name and image and further stating that, the contribution may demonstrate an achievement through volunteerism, leadership, public service, and/or other services considered extraordinary or long term in nature.

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special accommodation (or hearing impaired) to participate in this proceeding or to review any documents relative thereto should contact the Village for assistance at (305) 259-1234 no later than four (4) days prior to the proceedings.
