Children ages 6-14 will explore and learn from nature at Deering Estate’s Winter Camp. Two four-day sessions are available.
Session One will take place from Dec. 26 to 29, and Session Two will run from Jan. 2 to 5, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A one day mini-camp will be offered on Friday, Dec. 22.
Session I: “Trail Blazers”
Tuesday–Friday, Dec. 26-29
Campers will get in touch with their inner trail blazer by trekking and exploring through Deering Estate’s natural areas. They will learn how to survive in the unique habitats and about the important conservation efforts for preserving biodiversity.
Session II: “Adventure Awaits”
Tuesday-Friday, January 2-5, 2024
Campers will channel their inner Indiana Jones as they uncover the mysteries of the Deering Estate and its past. Activities include dissections, archeological explorations, a hike to the Deering Cliffs, science experiments and more.
