For outdoor-minded adventure-loving kids, the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department is bringing back four exciting Miami EcoAdventures nature camps this summer that get them up-close to the wild side of county parks.
A 10 percent Early Bird Enrollment discount is being offered through Apr. 15. Parents are encouraged to register their child/children early, as registration slots fill up quickly for these popular camps.

Camp Black Bear (ages 6-14), A.D. “Doug” Barnes Park Nature Center, 3401 SW 72 Ave., 305-662-4124; Fees: Until Apr. 15, $108/per camper/week; regular registration, $120/camper; sibling discount, $108/additional child (first child is full price); extended hours: $10/camper/week, 7:30 a.m. early drop off and late pickup until 6 p.m. Activities will include scientific experiments, environmental fieldtrips and outdoor sports.
Camp on the Sea (ages 12-15), Bill Sadowski Park, 17555 SW 79 Ave., Palmetto Bay, 305-255-4767; Fees: Until Apr. 15, $144/per camper/week; regular registration: $160/camper; sibling discount, $144/additional child (first child is full price); extended hours, $10/camper/week, 7:30 a.m. early drop off and late pickup until 6 p.m.; Activities will include snorkel, kayak and canoe excursions.
Fishing Camp (ages 9-14), Bill Sadowski Park, 17555 SW 79 Ave., Palmetto Bay, 305-255-4767; Fees: Until Apr. 15, $144/per camper/week; regular registration, $160/camper; sibling discount, $144/additional child (first child is full price); extended hours, $10/camper/week, 7:30 a.m. early drop off and late pickup until 6 p.m.; Activities are designed for fishing enthusiasts, with lessons in fish biology, safe boating and fishing trips.
