Palmetto Bay residents are invited to attend the Public Space Challenge Workshop on Wednesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Palmetto Bay Library in the 2nd Floor Community Room. The library is located at 17641 Old Cutler Road in Ludovici Park.
The Public Space Challenge is sponsored by The Miami Foundation working together with Health Foundation of South Florida and Baptist Health South Florida. The purpose is to seek the best ideas for creating, improving and activating parks, plazas and local gathering places throughout Miami Dade County.
The challenge is open to every person and/or organization in Miami Dade. Winning ideas will receive a share of $305,000 for implementation in the community.
“Those curious about the challenge or interested in submitting an idea are encouraged to attend,” said Village Councilwoman Karyn Cunningham. “Food and drinks will be provided.”
