Enroll America and its Get Covered America campaign is offering students and area families the opportunity to receive oneon- one health plan enrollment assistance by appointment through a series of office hours and workshops available at various Miami Dade College (MDC) campuses.
Beginning Nov. 1 and continuing through the open enrollment period which ends Jan. 31, 2016, in-person enrollment assistance will be available.
Certified assisters from local community organizations including the Epilepsy Foundation and Health Council of South Florida will be onsite to help with the application process and explain options for low cost health insurance.
Those with existing insurance are welcome to see if there is a better plan to fit their needs and budget. The enrollment assistance is open free to the public.
