Miami-Dade County Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava today announced her re-election campaign is underway as she filed paperwork with the Miami-Dade Supervisor of Elections.
Commissioner Levine Cava shared, “Our team hit the ground running after our election in 2014 because the voters of District 8 were clear in their message. In the last few years, our office has served as a caring and effective resource to residents, small businesses, nonprofits and community organizations that share our vision of exploring opportunities for South Dade. We have worked to make our government more accountable, brought resources to our area and focused on critical issues that make our community more livable for all.”
Since her election, Commissioner Levine Cava has focused on delivering for District 8 on a wide range of issues:
- Fighting for a Fair Share for South Dade
- Expanding Economic Opportunity
- Championing Parks and the Environment
- Improving Transit Options
- Hosting the annual South Dade Solutions Summit
Levine Cava added, “I am proud of the progress we’ve made in a short period of time. We have brought a real focus to our District and our recently launched effort, South Dade: More to Explore, will showcase South Dade’s charm and character as an ideal place to live, work and visit.
