Art South and the Village of Palmetto Bay present works by DHEA State Art Educators Association Incorporated for their CDA winter art exhibition.
Date art educators is a professional organization committed to promoting, advocating, and enriching the lives of our students and members.
“We are a nonprofit organization based in Miami-Dade County Florida that provides support, professional development, and advocacy for art educators in the region,” says Janis Klein-Young of ArtSouth. “DHEA aims to foster a community where art teachers can share resources, collaborate, and enhance their teaching practices with finalized workshops, networking events, and conferences to offer educators opportunities to learn new techniques, integrate contemporary art practices into the classroom, and promote the value of arts education.”
DHEA works closely with schools, educational institutions, and cultural organizations to ensure that art remains a vital curriculum component. They advocate for the importance of arts education in developing creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness among students.
DHEA offers art educators a platform to showcase their and their students’ work and encourages participation in local art exhibitions and competitions. This event is sponsored by Miami-Dade County, the Village of Palmetto Bay, the Knight Foundation, Schnebly Wines, the Miami Foundation and ArtSouth.
It takes place on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. at Perrine Community House, 900 Perrine Ave. Palmetto Bay, Florida 33157. Light refreshments will be served.
