Spend a relaxing day with your family and friends at the Deering Estate at Cutler on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and enjoy a picnic on the main lawn.
Guests who bring a picnic lunch or who purchase a preordered meal through one of the official picnic providers will receive a reduced admission fee of $7 for all ages. Note that grilling and cooking are not permitted on the estate grounds.
Chef David Schwadron Catering and Joanna’s Marketplace are the official picnic providers for the Deering Estate at Cutler and can be contacted directly for preordered meals. Activities include:
• Old Fashion lawn games;
• Historic House Tours at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.;
• Tequesta Trail Tour at 12:30 p.m.;
• The second day of “Affair en Plein Air,” an outdoor juried painting event, from 10 am to 1 pm; Judging takes place at 1:30 pm. Juror Erik Speyer.
• And the Miami Watercolor Society’s 40th Annual Fall Exhibition and the Ceramic League of Miami Exhibit.
