Miami’s NASL soccer club is searching for top local talent

Miami FC is searching for South Florida’s finest soccer talent. The soccer club will be hosting open tryouts Nov. 21 and 22, providing the opportunity to any local, national and international players looking to join the city’s professional soccer club to showcase their skills.

After the recent announcement of the team’s head coach, Alessandro Nesta, the club is wasting no time and continuing its momentum by building its 2016 inaugural season team. Nesta will be present during tryouts, and observing and evaluating potential candidates for Miami FC’s official team roster alongside technical director Mauro Pederzoli.

“We have been diligently scouting for top talent to build a high caliber team that will make Miami proud,” Nesta said. “We expect great things from our open tryouts and are looking forward to seeing what South Florida’s top players have to offer.”

The tryouts will take place at Barry University, 11300 NE Second Ave. in Miami Shores. Anyone interested in trying out for the team can fill out a registration form on Miami FC’s official website at www.miamifc.com.

Miami FC is Miami’s sole professional soccer club, beginning to play in the North American Soccer League (NASL) in 2016. The club will compete in the U.S. Open Cup and will host international tournaments and friendly matches. International entrepreneur Riccardo Silva and world-renowned soccer superstar Paolo Maldini have teamed up as coowners to launch Miami Football Club (Miami FC) and bring Miami’s professional soccer into the world stage.
