Palmetto Bay’s own “Princess Leia,” Leia Schwartz, an accomplished young singer/composer as well as a top student and volunteer for charities and other community projects, simply had to see the newest Star Wars movie, “The Force Awakens.” But since she and her parents, David and Laura Leavy Schwartz, were visiting Monaco at the time, she got a chance to see it a few days earlier than the U.S. release date. The title was Le Réveil De La Force at the Cinéma Des Beaux Arts. Leia was pleased with the film. “I loved it!” she said upon their return stateside. “I was a little worried before seeing it about how it would be under new directors and ownership, but I think J.J. Abrams did such a great job at holding true to the original trilogy and carrying on the Star Wars legacy.”
