88th Royal Poinciana Fiesta set for June 7-15, 2025The 88th Annual Royal Poinciana Fiesta, Miami-Dade County’s longest running festival, will take place June 7-15, 2025 at various locations throughout Miami.

Founded in 1937 and sponsored by the Tropical Flowering Tree Society, the Royal Poinciana Fiesta celebrates one of South Florida’s most spectacular and colorful trees. Native to Madagascar, Royal Poinciana trees are renowned for their bright scarlet, orange-red or yellow petals. They bloom magnificently in late spring and early summer in South Florida, just before the rainy season begins.

The Royal Poinciana Fiesta kicks off on Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. with a free walking tour of Simpson Park and South Miami Avenue presented by Dade Heritage Trust. Participants should meet at the DHT headquarters at 190 SE 12th Terrace.

On Sunday, June 8th at 9:30 a.m. there will be a free walking tour of Jean Willis Park in South Miami, the county’s first flowering tree park, as well as a free Royal Poinciana Fiesta Celebration Party and Reception at David Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Other events include a “Cocktail Party with a Paintbrush” on June 11th at the Miami Art Club, Town of Cutler Bay tree planting on June 12th, yoga at The Kampong in Coconut Grove on June 14th and Poinciana Trolley Tours starting from the Coral Gables Library on June 15th.
