YOUTH PROGRAMS

Mini Camp: Culinary Kids | Monday, November 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Our cooking club day camp invites mini chefs to explore the exciting world of garden to table recipes! Throughout this fun-filled day, young chefs will learn the basics of cooking while embracing the importance of safety and hygiene in the kitchen. Mini Chefs will leave with new skills, a sense of accomplishment, and tasty recipes to share with family and friends. Join us for a day of fun, learning and delicious food.

Little Lizards: Art Naturally | Wednesday, November 5, 2 p.m.
Many people who draw, paint, sculpt and photograph draw their inspiration from natural areas like Pinecrest Gardens. Join us in November to get your creative juices flowing and make some art in our gardens. This month we will learn about the color wheel, go on an art scavenger hunt, and more! Pre-registration required. Limited capacity. Walk-ups are not accepted.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Curious Gardener Workshop – Plant Your Vision | Thursday, November 13, 6:30 p.m.
Join us for a “Plant Your Vision” workshop, where participants will create symbolic, personalized planters that merge the clarity of a vision board with the grounding energy of plants. Included in the workshop: – vision board-style planter session (intentional design + affirmation prompts) – repotting session guided by our team – live plant + pot + all materials to personalize their arrangement – Complimentary beverage

Bonsai Society | Tuesday, November 11, 7 p.m.
Come learn about the beauty and process for creating and maintaining your own bonsai tree. The Society demonstrates their skill and offers their love of Ikebana with the motto: “Friendship through Flowers.” Meetings take place monthly. The option to join is open to all.

SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS

Opening: Sneaker Stories | Saturday, November 15, 6 – 8 p.m.
“Sneaker Stories” explores the historic and ongoing synergy between graffiti art and sneaker culture. It highlights seminal crossover collaborations between graffiti artists and commercial brands, with a focus on sneakers from 2003 to the present. Visitors will view art and rare sneakers by some of the world’s most iconic artists within the genre, including Futura, Rammellzee, Eric Haze, Claw, and Kaws. This exhibition is in collaboration with the Museum of Graffiti.

Walter Mercado: Fe, Esperanza y Mucho Amor | Saturday, November 15, 6 – 8 p.m.
Pinecrest Gardens celebrates the life and career of the pop culture icon Walter Mercado who, for more than five decades, shared his astrological predictions with mucho, mucho amor. The Puerto Rican astrologer, actor, dancer, writer, and television personality became a cultural phenomenon reaching more than 120 million viewers daily for more than 30 years through his horoscopes. The temporary exhibit puts on display ten of Mercado’s legendary costumes. This exhibition is in collaboration with Gonzalo Rodriguez and Gustavo Blanco Collection.

Candlelight Ballet: Tchaikovsky & More | Friday, November 15, 6:30 and 9 p.m.
Experience a magical evening at Pinecrest Gardens with a new and unique “Ballet” candlelight concert in the glow of candlelight, featuring music the music of Tchaikovsky & More. Enjoy iconic pieces like Brahms “Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G Minor”, Tchaikovsky “Serenade for Strings in C Major”, and the music from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and more.
