Priced at more than $58,000, the Chevrolet 2023 Colorado 4WD ZR2 is a truly upgraded all-terrain vehicle.
Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast, an urban explorer or a DIY diehard, the all-new 2023 Colorado offers multiple unique trims. We drove the Colorado ZR2, which is bolder and more capable than the prior model.
Chevy’s midsize truck delivers 17 miles per gallon in the city and 19 on the highway. Its towing capacity is a hefty 6,000 pounds, which makes sense considering it has a 2.7-liter, four-cylinder turbo high-output engine that generates 310 horsepower and 430-pound-feet of torque.
Starting with an available factory-installed lift, the Colorado ZR2 has a wider chassis offering stronger approach and departure angles that are perfect for off-road action. Under the hood, the available 2.7-liter turbo high-output engine is paired with a new eight-speed automatic transmission and offers responsive performance with power to match. You also get five available drive modes and a new off-road performance display, which gives you all the tools you need to tackle any terrain.
The new off-road performance display helps you monitor your driving performance in real time with an altimeter, 3D pitch and roll, g-force meter and more.
The Colorado ZR2 is stacked with the latest in-vehicle technologies like the segment-first, fully digital 11-inch driver information center, an 11.3-inch infotainment display, and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto compatibility, with Google built-in. Add the available trailering app and an available extra-large wireless charging pad, and this midsize truck makes staying connected easy wherever your adventure takes you.
The myChevrolet mobile app remote technology now comes standard on select Chevy vehicles. You can access all its remote functions and diagnostic resources through the remote access plan.
The Colorado ZR2 offers 10 available camera views to help you hit the open road with confidence. And thanks to the available segment-first underbody cameras, offering a real-time forward- and rear-facing view beneath the truck, you can navigate rocky trails and other difficult terrain.
I love the unique features on a vehicle and the Colorado ZR2 has a great one. An available first-in-class “stowflex tailgate” gives you a lockable storage compartment built into the tailgate that’s perfect for stowing tools or emergency equipment, and even includes a drain so it can be used as a cooler. That’s a nice feature on any pickup truck.
At the end of the day, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is a great pickup truck with lots of great features that will make work and play more fun.
