Corporate and transactional attorney Andrew Cromer, formerly Associate General Counsel for New York-based Shake Shack, has joined the full service boutique law firm of AXS Law Group in Wynwood as a partner.
“Given his experience working in-house, Andrew Cromer is a natural fit for AXS Law Group as we expand our reach in South Florida and beyond,” said Jeremy Ben-David, managing partner of AXS Law Group. “We want lawyers with that ‘X factor’ – a mix of personality, sound judgment and a keen business instinct. Andrew has all that in spades.”
A native to South Florida, Andrew grew up in Pinecrest and graduated from Ransom Everglades. He brings a wide variety of legal experience from the hospitality sector to AXS Law’s Corporate & Transactional practice. He joined Shake Shack in 2015 shortly after the company went public and was responsible for the transactional matters for all departments and managed all litigation issues. Additionally, he further developed Shake Shack’s robust Intellectual Property portfolio, ensured compliance on a variety of issues including the service of alcohol, while continually supporting and further developing Shake Shack’s rapid domestic and international expansion.
“AXS Law’s unique model appealed to me because in today’s world, companies and clients are constantly searching for partners that have the ability to think outside the box, continue to innovate through technology and solve issues efficiently,” said Cromer.
Andrew received a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He is admitted to practice law in Florida, New York and New Jersey.
