The “Moonlight & Music” Valentine’s Day Concert at the Deering Estate offers couples and friends the opportunity to celebrate their love at an outdoor concert under the stars on Wednesday evening, February 14, 2024. Guests can pack a picnic, preorder food or purchase food when they arrive, then settle into their lawn chair or cozy up on a blanket and enjoy the sounds of this year’s featured artist, Melina Soochan (Jazz, Pop & Soul), with an opening performance by Samantha Natalie.
Join Montreal-born Melina Soochan and her jazz quintet, featuring Melina Soochan on vocals, and renowned musicians from South Florida including Elijah Gee on piano, Senegal Apostolo on bass, Shay Eischen on drums and Nick Chin on saxophone.
Reimagining classic love ballads of the jazz era and decades beyond, with songs popularized by artists such as Nat King Cole, Etta James, Sarah Vaughan, Frank Sinatra, Norah Jones, Sade, Adele, Edith Piaf and many more!
This concert will be a night to be remembered and experienced among loved ones and friends!
The concert starts at 8 p.m. There are four entry times to choose from when purchasing tickets: 5:30 p.m., 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. & 7 p.m.
Guests are welcome to bring blankets, lawn chairs and small picnic baskets. Please note that the following items are not permitted: pets, large coolers, open flames/candles, balloons and pop-up tents. Please note that the Museums are closed during this event. No sales/no tickets sold at the gate. Tickets are non-refundable, rain or shine.
Pre-ordered food and picnic baskets from Joanna’s Marketplace will be available for pick up at the concert. Please call the catering department at 305-661-5777 to place your order. Limited refreshments and food will be available for purchase at the concert.
General admission
General admission open seating is available on the front lawn, in front of the two Historic House Museums, in the Royal Palm Grove and on the Boat Basin Jetties. General admission tickets are $60 per person, plus tax.

Deering Estate, located at 16701 SW 72 Ave. in Miami, is a 21st Century house museum, cultural and ecological field station, and a national landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places, owned by the State of Florida and managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department. Deering Estate is designated as one of seven Miami-Dade County “Heritage Parks” which have a vital role in our community’s history, environment and in providing recreational and cultural experiences.
