ADULT PROGRAMS

Curious Gardener Workshop: Botanical Jewelry Making | Thursday, November 7, 6:30 p.m.
Join us for a workshop to create a piece of your own jewelry inspired by nature. Led by Cathi Rivera, a metalsmith and jewelry designer. During the session you will learn metal techniques, use small hand tools, metal, beads, and wire to create a wearable piece of jewelry. The instructor will teach you how to create a watercolor painting using a reference photograph.

Bonsai Society | Tuesday, November 12, 7 p.m.
Come learn about the beauty and process for creating and maintaining your own Bonsai tree. The Society demonstrates their skill and offers their love of Ikebana with the motto: “Friendship through Flowers.” Meetings take place monthly. The option to join is open to all.

Ikebana Society | Tuesday, November 19, 10:30 a.m.
Come learn about the art of Ikebana. The Society promote the knowledge, interest and enjoyment of the art of bonsai. Meetings take place monthly. The option to join is open to all.

Pan Am Orchid Society | Tuesday, November 19, 7 p.m.
Come learn about the care and growth of orchids. The Society works to share and expand their knowledge and love for orchids. Meetings take place monthly. The option to join is open to all.

Candlelight Ballet: Tchaikovsky & More | Friday, November 15, 6:30 and 9 p.m.
Experience a magical evening at Pinecrest Gardens with a new and unique “Ballet” candlelight concert in the glow of candlelight, featuring music the music of Tchaikovsky & More. Enjoy iconic pieces like Brahms’ “Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G Minor,” Tchaikovsky’s “Serenade for Strings in C Major,” and the music from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and more.

Art Talk: Intimate Visions of Nature | Saturday, November 12, 11:30 a.m.
Join us for a talk with artists involved in Intimate Visions of Nature, an exhibition that features artists whose works explore how we experience, consider, and interact with nature. The elemental and personal interpretations present the artists’ unique visions of nature, highlighting the form and surface of the natural world’s intricate details. Program co-presented with Hartvest Project.

YOUTH PROGRAM

Little Lizards: Art Naturally | Wednesday, November 6, 2 p.m.
Many people who draw, paint, sculpt and photograph draw their inspiration from natural areas like Pinecrest Gardens. Join us in November to get your creative juices flowing and make some art in our gardens. This month we will learn about the color wheel, go on an art scavenger hunt and more!
