Festival frenzy continues with Gardens’ Chili Cook-Off

Festival frenzy continues with Gardens’ Chili Cook-OffThere’s another “Chili in the Village” event coming your way this weekend. Pinecrest Gardens is going “a little bit country” on Feb. 7 at our third annual Chili Cook-Off!

It’s a country hoe-down Pinecrest-style from Noon ‘til 5 p.m. Live music performed by country group The 18 Wheelers, line dancing, mechanical bull riding, Heat Dancers, a delicious selection of food, chili sampling and so much more! You can even enter an old fashioned handsbehind- your-back, pie-eating contest. So don’t miss this lip-smackin’, thigh-slappin’, cookin’-up-a-batch-of-fun event for the whole family. Though this event is sanctioned by the International Chili Society and the primary competition is for professional chili cooks, we will host an amateur cook-off as well. So if you happen to be a home-grown chili master with a family recipe, dust off that apron and grab your cast iron pot, it’s not too late to enter.

Call the Gardens administrative offices at 305-669-6990 for information or visit pinecrestgardens.org and download an application.
