SIPS & SHORTS: CITY READS “SHADOWS OF OCTOBER”

Pinecrest Gardens welcomes City Theatre returning to Art in the Gardens with a City Reads edition! Join us for an evening of captivating short plays that ensnares the essence of autumn’s magic, mystery, and a touch of the supernatural. The 10-minute plays read by professional actors will weave together elements of suspense, intrigue, and humor with musical accompaniment by world-pop duo Hola Hi. FRED ASTAIRE DANCE STUDIOS PRESENTS “WHAT IF?”

Fred Astaire Pinecrest & Fred Astaire Miami Beach will whisk you off to a world of glamorous ballroom dancing in support of South Florida Breast Cancer Foundation with “What if…?” a live show and performance with a narrator, live music and performances from dancers of every kind! TWO FOR THE GARDENS – PIANO & CELLO
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 8, 4 P.M., FREE CONCERT
Join pianist Sakiko Ohashi cellist Gérman Marcano for an afternoon of Latin flavored music.
Sakiko and Gérman perform often together with remarkable musical artistry and vision. Sakiko, born in Japan and German, from Venezuela, make a unique and exceptional musical duo. The distinctive Latin American repertory offers a soundscape perfect for the beautiful garden setting. Their playing is described as, “…a creative and sensitive palette of musical color.” Their performances are vibrant and fun. Children, families, Seniors love their concerts. HOWL-O-WEEN
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14, 11 A.M. TO 4 P.M.
Pinecrest Gardens will become haunted by four-legged ghouls and their scary human companions as Paws4you celebrates Howl-O-Ween. The event features tricks and treats, a costume contest, a Doggie Fun Zone Agility course, food, drinks, live entertainment, a spooky Kids’ Zone and pumpkin patch. 2023/2024 TROPICAL NIGHTS MINI SERIES
Get ready for an exhilarating musical journey! Tropical Nights Live from the Banyan Bowl is a captivating mini-series combining Latin American rhythms with contemporary music that will make you dance and sing amid the lush tropical scenery of one of South Florida’s most cherished botanical gardens. The line-up includes: “Tango Dreams” with musical director Anibal Berraute on Friday, November 17; Gafieira Rio Miami: Brazilian Big Band led by Latin Grammy winner Diogo Brown on Friday, January 26, 2024; and Grammy and Billboard award-winning Chino Nuñez Big Band Orchestra with guest artists Lucy Grau and Gio Beta on Friday, February 23, 2024.
