Pinecrest Gardens was transformed into a haven for furry friends and their human companions on Saturday, October 14, as they came together to celebrate Howl-O-Ween. This cherished annual event was proudly hosted by PAWS4you, a prominent local dog rescue organization in South Florida, dedicated to saving our four-legged friends.
The day was filled with joy and excitement, offering a wide array of activities to suit all ages and interests. Highlights included a lively costume contest, a Doggie Fun Zone Agility course, captivating live entertainment, and a delightful pumpkin patch. For the little ones, a spooky Kids’ Zone provided a creative outlet with arts and crafts.
Beyond the entertainment, the event carried a deeper purpose. Howl-O-Ween served as a platform to raise both funds and awareness for PAWS4you’s noble mission: rescuing abandoned and neglected animals from the looming threat of euthanasia. This organization showers these animals with love and care until they find their forever homes, effectively saving them from a grim fate.
Some of the very rescue dogs that have benefitted from PAWS4you’s dedication were present at the event, eagerly awaiting the opportunity to meet and greet potential adopters. The heartfelt stories of these amazing dogs, who have overcome adversity, served as powerful testaments to the organization’s unwavering commitment.
The 7th annual Howl-O-Ween event was an astounding success, all thanks to the generosity of the event’s sponsors, the dedication of volunteers, and the overwhelming support of attendees who rallied behind PAWS4you. Families from far and wide flocked to Pinecrest Gardens, reveling in the festive atmosphere and demonstrating their profound love for their furry companions. A particular crowd favorite was the doggie costume contest, alongside a wide range of food and drink vendors, an exhilarating agility course for competitive pets, face painting, and engaging arts and crafts stations for the younger visitors.
For those who couldn’t make it to the event, there’s still a chance to contribute to PAWS4you’s cause. Whether through donations or considering adoption, you can visit their website at www.paws4you.org.
