JAZZ SERIES – JOHN LLOYD YOUNG

South Motors Jazz at Pinecrest gardens presents Tony and Grammy award winning star of stage and screen… singing sensation John Lloyd Young. Young originated the role of “Frankie Valli” in Broadway’s Tony Award-winning Musical, Jersey Boys, and was later hand-picked by director Clint Eastwood to reprise his role in the Warner Bros film. THE PUPPETS MAGICAL GARDEN

The Puppets Magical Garden three-act show features different genres of puppeteering and an eclectic cast of characters including a magician mime, Rock ‘n’ Roll legend Little Richard and the Tale of the Enchanted Horse from 1001 Nights Fairy Tale. BABAR THE ELEPHANT
Sunday, March 26 | 3:00 p.m.
Orchestra Miami presents Poulenc’s whimsical musical illustration of the beloved story by Jean de Brunhoff, The Story of Babar the Elephant, with narration in English and Spanish. AFTER SCHOOL SCIENCE AND ART ACADEMY
Starts March 26 | 6 Week Program
Cortada Science Art Academy at Pinecrest Gardens teaches students (ages 9-12) how to think, imagine, and problem-solve while caring for the environment. Developed by Xavier Cortada, eco-artist and Pinecrest Gardens’ Artist-in-Residence, this immersive, outdoor after-school program aims to develop engaged youth who use art and science to better understand our world, connect with others, and address environmental concerns. CHILI COOK-OFF
Saturday, April 1 | Noon to 5 p.m.
Join us for the 8th annual Chili Cook-off at Pinecrest Gardens. Enjoy live country music with The 18 Wheelers, line dancing with Southside Stampede, mechanical bull riding, and kid’s entertainment. Taste delicious food, sample chili from the International Chili Society cooks, sip beer, and much more. Professional cooks can register via the International Chili Society.
