IKEBANA SOCIETY MIAMI – FRIENDSHIP THROUGH FLOWERS

Ikebana (meaning “giving life to flowers”) is the Japanese art of flower arrangement, in which the arrangement brings nature and humanity closer together. The Miami Chapter was founded in 1956 to create an association that shares and expands the knowledge and enjoyment of ikebana. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month at Pinecrest Gardens. First time guests many attend the program workshop for free.

CITY THEATRE – SHORT CUTS

Experience four fast and funny family-friendly 10-minute plays (“Short Cuts”) presented by City Theatre at the Banyan Bowl! Short Cuts is a fun way to introduce kids to theatre through short plays about nature, friendships and family traditions. The fun kicks off with pre-show entertainment at 6 p.m. followed by a fast-paced program for all ages. After the show, join the post-show talkback with the performers. Refreshments available for purchase.

ARTS FESTIVAL AT PINECREST GARDENS
Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22 | 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Presented by Panter, Panter and Sampedro, P.A., The Nineteenth Annual Arts Festival will take place this weekend in our lush and fabulous Garden. Come enjoy the art, food vendors, music and family activities throughout the Garden. Finalists of the 9th Annual Student Art Environmental Contest will also be on display in Hibiscus Gallery for the duration of the festival.

Presented by South Motors, Tropical Nights will take you on a musical journey to Havana’s Tropicana and New York’s Copacabana, the sultry Latin night clubs of the 1950s. Curated and performed by Grammy award-winner, Chino Nuñez and his Big Band Orchestra with musical guests Tito Puente Jr., Zugeil Velez, Felix Graterol, Alain Garcia, Miguelito LaMorté, Alexis Cordoba; joined by Casa Salsa Dancers.
