Temple Beth Am’s youth group, BAFTY, will host its annual Jog for Jenny, a 5K family fun run on Sunday, March 3 at 7:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Am, 5950 N. Kendall Drive.
We are looking forward to spending the morning with the community as we raise funds to send children from disadvantaged areas to a life-changing Memorial Day weekend at Camp Coleman in Georgia. Camp Jenny gives children the opportunity to receive the love of big “brothers and sisters” (our local teens), three nutritious meals a day, and encouragement for a bright future. Camp Jenny is run by passionate Jewish teens who wait all yearlong for the chance to inspire and create memories for the campers. Campers are not the only ones who benefit from Camp Jenny; our teens develop leadership skills, empathy and social awareness.
For 30 years, Camp Jenny has been financially supported by youth groups, synagogues and communities in the Southeast. It costs $500 to send one child to Camp Jenny. It is our goal to ensure that as many children as possible are afforded the opportunity to experience the magic of Camp Jenny. We need YOUR HELP!
Please join us for a morning of fun, fitness and friendship on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. at Temple Beth Am. The entire Miami community is invited to participate!
We are currently looking for runners/walkers, sponsors and in-kind donations. Your participation and support are greatly appreciated.
