HOLIDAY GIFTS FROM THE GARDENS
The Giving Tree is a way of honoring someone you love while supporting cultural and educational initiatives at the Gardens. Pinecrest Gardens can help you to honor, celebrate and remember important people and moments in your life with this unique dedication opportunity. Our Gardens Giving Tree is a threedimensional sculpted tree by Chilean artist Jose Pablo Ravinet. Leave a lasting impression that will add beauty and dimension to the Gardens. The small leaves are $250 and the large leaves are $500. When purchased, a specially engraved nameplate will be attached to the leaf. A personalized acknowledgment of your tribute gift will be sent to the recipient of your choice, without reference to the size of the gift, following receipt of your donation. To learn more about this wonderful gift opportunity, call the office at 305-669-6990.
A Gardens membership is a treat for any Christmas stocking or gift on one of the eight magical nights of Chanukah. When you give a gift of the Gardens, it’s a gift that keeps on giving. The joy visiting paradise with your family, using Splash ‘N Play, the petting zoo, relaxing on a bench overlooking Swan Lake or just wandering the beautiful paths, there is so much to enjoy day after day, month after month. Members also receive many exclusive benefits and there are several levels of membership. All members receive free admission to the park, free admission to all daytime festivals and our Nights of Lights. Single adult membership (18-64) is $45, senior membership (65-plus) is $35, student membership with valid ID is $25, and family membership is $125. Details on all membership levels can be found online or call the administrative office at 305-669- 6990. This is a gift that says love and enjoyment every day of the year.
JAZZ MASTERS MENTOR AT PINECREST GARDENS
Jazz legends performing at Pinecrest Gardens will stay an extra day to mentor New World School of Arts students thanks to a new grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The Knight Arts Challenge funds ideas that bring South Florida together through the arts. Pinecrest was awarded Knight funding for the South Motors Jazz at Pinecrest Gardens series and will receive $75,000 over two years, with a $50,000 match by the title sponsor. The funding will provide young jazz musicians with an all-access, season pass to jam with the likes of Branford Marsalis, Carmen Lundy and Paquito D’ Rivera, while providing world-class jazz concerts to the public at accessible prices. Only musicians who are available and interested in both performance and mentorship opportunities will be invited to participate. The Gen-Next Jam Sessions will take place on Sundays, when participating students arrive at the Banyan Bowl to meet, participate in workshops and jam with jazz masters.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
Again, we wish you a joyous holiday season, one filled with love and laughter and the promise of a wonderful New Year.
