As part of ongoing fundraising efforts, the Miracle League of Miami-Dade County has partnered with several philanthropic organizations, including Assurant Solutions, one of our most dedicated supporters. Assurant sponsored the Miracle League exhibition game in December and pledged $10,000 to the organization.
Assurant has deep roots in Miami-Dade and always finds a way to give back to the community and make life better for families in need. The company participates as a sponsor in numerous programs, is generous with donations and encourages its employees to give back with contributions of time and money, a tradition of more than 50 years. Assurant also supports charitable giving by employees with a matching gifts program.
With the latest Assurant donation, the Miracle League is one step closer to building the Miracle League field for its children.
“Assurant has made a generous donation of $10,000,” said Karl Sturge, co-chairman of the Miracle League of Miami-Dade.
Along with financial support, Assurant is the first local business to have its employees participate on the field in a Miracle League game. Several Assurant employees received Baseball Buddy training and later served as Baseball Buddies to Miracle League youngsters.
