August already? Oh my, how time flies. With school supplies and new sneakers top of mind, let’s take a look at the wonderful educational offerings at Pinecrest Gardens that are now open for registration.
PINECREST DANCE PROJECT
Pinecrest Dance Project offers dance classes for all ages, including a variety of styles such as Ballet, Flamenco, Salsa, Merengue, Ballroom, Belly Dancing and much more. Their diverse class offerings are based on a curriculum specifically designed around the students’ age and skills, so that they may seamlessly integrate and quickly start developing their artistic talents. Classes allow students to develop confidence and self-esteem, all while evolving interactions among classmates and developing social skills that will benefit them throughout their lives, within an energetic and fun atmosphere. Tap I and II (Fridays at 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.)
This fun and challenging style of dance promotes a combination of rhythm, timing, and coordination. Students will develop musicality through the various center, cross-floor exercises and routines. The students will marvel at the sound their shoes make and will feel proud to learn and execute new steps.
Kids Ballroom (Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m.)
In this class students will learn the basic steps of Mambo, Cha Cha Cha, Waltz, Tango, Rumba, Swing, Foxtrot and much more. This class prepares students for social environments. Students spend their evening dancing, meeting new friends and having fun. Also, during the class, your muscles work burning calories, improving their flexibility, strength, agility and postures.
Mommy and Me Music! Ages 1 to 3 years old (Mondays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.)
This class begins to introduce the parent/toddler team to music. The instructor guides them in a way that makes discovering musical instruments, rhythm, lyrics, movement and listening skills super fun and easy.
Mommy and Me Yoga! Ages 1 to 3 years old (Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.)
This class begins to introduce the parent/toddler team to Yoga. The instructor guides them in a way that makes discovering movement, flexibility, balance and listening skills super fun and easy.
Mommy and Me Gymnastics! Ages 1 to 3 years old (Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.)
This class begins to introduce the parent/toddler team to gymnastics. The instructor guides them in a way that makes discovering movement, flexibility, balance and listening skills super fun and easy.
Mommy and Me Art! Ages 1 to 3 years old (Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.)
This class begins to introduce the parent/toddler team to Art. The instructor guides them in a way that makes discovering art techniques, crafts and listening skills super fun and easy.
Mommy and Me Dance! Ages 1 to 3 years old (Fridays from 10:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.)
This class begins to introduce the parents/toddler team to dance. New movements and stretching are presented to them through imagery, fantasy play and creative games.
ARTCADEMY
ArtCademy is a multi-sensory educational experience offering classes to help kids discover hidden talents and bringing confidence through creativity, friendship and art. ArtCademy offers classes for kids of all ages.
KidCademy
Ages 19 months to 4 years old
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
10-week session: 1 x week $550, 2 x week $1,045, 3 x week $1,485
KidCademy is a two-hour class that combines motor skill development, exercise, art music and play. Kids and their parents will thrive in this interactive preschool preparatory environment at Pinecrest Gardens.
Afterschool Art
Ages 4 to 6 & 7 to 9
Tuesdays or Thursdays at 4:30 p.m.
$300 for 10-week semester
Afterschool art will teach students to explore different art techniques, abstract and realistic art using the Gardens as our inspiration.
Discovery Lab Jr. Scientist Engineering Workshop
Discovery Lab Engineering workshops is a hands-on program where students explore and dive deeper into specific engineering topics such as circuits, bridges and simple machines.
The workshop includes a range of activities covering different STEM topics and connections to exciting STEM careers. Qualified and trained staff will introduce, expose and teach specific engineering principles and concepts in a practical and relevant way that inspire children to learn more about science.

Age group 5 to 8 years old.
The cost will be $640 /8 classes or $320/ 4 classes. Parents need to buy a minimum of 3 classes.
