Palmer Trinity School proudly announces new appointments to its Board of Trustees, Judy Andrews, Walter GonzalezDavid NeithardtCarlos PenziniHudson Smith and Travis Sullivan.

Judy Andrews

Judy Andrews began her tenure at Palmer Trinity School in 1993 as Associate Head/Upper School head and served as Head of School in 2003-04.  She began her distinguished career in education in 1969 as a teacher.  She has served in a variety of roles in dependent schools throughout Florida, including college counselor; Dean of Students, Director of Development and Admissions; Head of School, and was an adjunct professor at the University of South Florida. Her schools include St Jude Catholic School in St. Petersburg, Canterbury School in Ft. Myers, St Augustine Florida, and served as a Trustee at Jacksonville Country Day School.  She was most recently an interim head of school at St. Philips School in Coral Gables. Andrews has served on the board of Easter Seals Foundation of South Florida; has fundraised for the Junior League and was a church youth leader.  She holds a master’s degree from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree from Wesleyan College in Georgia.

Walter Gonzalez

Local entrepreneur, Walter Gonzalez, Esq., is CEO, president and founder of GOJA, an Amazon-focused e-commerce company. Prior to founding GOJA in 2009, Gonzalez practiced law as CEO and corporate counsel at Leader Trade Solutions and a litigation attorney at Holtzman Equels, P.A. Gonzalez is the father of two, his eldest being a student at Palmer Trinity School, and is committed to child welfare and community service. He has supported Palmer Trinity’s Community Board, is a member of the FIU Foundation Board, was on the board of CHARLEE Homes for Children, and has worked as a volunteer attorney for foster children through Lawyers for Children and the Guardian Ad Litem Program. Gonzalez earned his Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School and a BBA in finance and international business from Florida International University.

David Neithardt

With more than 30 years of investment experience, David Neithardt is the founder and managing partner of Hammock Park Capital, LLC. Prior, he was co-founder and senior partner at General American Capital Partners, LLC, an independent private equity sponsor. He serves as chairman of the board of Synaptic Aviation, Inc., an AI software company providing innovative solutions to the aviation industry. He also serves on the boards of OWYN™ (Only What You Need), Brazil Tower Company LLC, and is on the board of directors and investment committee of Quintasen Real Estate Master Fund, LP. Other previous board experience includes Heartland Food Corp., Eastern Air Lines, Inc., and Jet Support Services, Inc. Neithardt holds an MBA from Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering from Stanford.

Carlos Penzini

Carlos Penzini is managing partner at VRM Penzini Capital, a private equity firm with investments across the consumer, retail, media and energy industries. He has over 25 years of experience in planning, launching, growing and operating businesses. Penzini serves on the boards of Hello Media, Star Solar, Bach & Stern, and Island Renewable Energies. Penzini volunteers his time as president of Berkeley Florida, the alumni association of the University of California at Berkeley for graduates residing in Florida that he co-founded. He holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley, a master’s degree in finance from IESA, and a Bachelor of Science in systems engineering from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas, Venezuela.

Hudson Smith

Hudson Smith is a partner at Thoma Bravo, a leading private equity investment firm, where he co-leads the firm’s Discover team and platform, focusing on investing in mid-sized and smaller software and technology companies. Smith has 25 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Thoma Bravo, he served as managing director of HGGC where he led software and technology investments. Previously, he had management and consultant roles at Bain & Company in Dallas and Syndey, Australia and Lincoln International in Chicago. He serves on the boards of Grayshift & Magnet Forensics and Sinch AB (NASDAQ Stockholm: SINCH). Hudson earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in business administration from Washington and Lee University in Virginia.

Travis Sullivan

Travis J. Sullivan is vice president and general manager of Boeing Distribution Services, a leading global commercial aerospace and defense integrated parts and distribution services provider. He also served as vice president for several strategy teams at Boeing. Prior to joining Boeing, Sullivan served in numerous public policy roles, including director of policy and strategic planning, and international trade specialist at the U.S. Department of Commerce, and senior policy advisor to U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) for foreign affairs, national security and trade. Sullivan is on the advisory board for the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington, the advisory board for the National Bureau of Asian Research, and a board member for the Chicago-based Youth Guidance. He is a U.S.-Japan Leadership Program fellow, a British American Project fellow, and an alumnus of the French-American Foundation’s Young Leaders program.

Sullivan received a Ph.D. in international relations theory from The Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree in international affairs from the Elliott School of International Studies at George Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree in international studies and political science from the University of Washington.
