Pictured are Palmer Trinity students Owen and Delaney Reynolds. Owen won the school spelling bee last month for the second consecutive year. His sister, Delaney, a Palmer Trinity 10th grader, won the school spelling bee the previous two years. “My sister helps me practice and has been a wonderful inspiration,” says Owen. “I’ve watched her prepare for her own competitions for years and saw the hard work and dedication it takes to be competitive.” Owen will move on to the Miami Herald Spelling Bee at Jungle Island on March 11. The winner will go to Washington D.C. to compete in the National Spelling Bee from May 24-29. For more information, go to www.spellingbee.com.
