Village Council Extends Gratitude as Survey Period Continues
In an exciting development for Pinecrest, the ongoing Citizen Survey has emerged as a driving force behind the village’s strategic planning process, propelling the community towards a future that aligns with the desires of its residents. With an impressive 826 submissions received as of February 2, the survey provides a robust data foundation, boasting a 95 percent confidence level with a 3 percent margin of error. On behalf of the entire Village Council, Mayor Joseph M. Corradino expressed his appreciation for the residents’ active participation, emphasizing the significance of community engagement in shaping the village’s destiny.
“The Pinecrest Citizen Survey is a testament to our commitment to inclusivity and community-driven decision-making,” said Mayor Corradino. “The valuable insights gathered from the survey will play a crucial role in crafting a strategic plan that reflects the unique character and aspirations of Pinecrest. Your voices matter, and we thank each resident for taking the time to contribute to this collaborative effort.”
The Council recognizes the importance of ensuring that the strategic planning process is informed by diverse perspectives. The survey, initially set to conclude on February 4, has been extended through the end of February, with the hope that even more residents will take this opportunity to shape the future of Pinecrest. In the spirit of community empowerment and transparent governance, Pinecrest continues to embrace the input of its residents, inviting them to be active stakeholders in the development of their beloved village. With the survey’s extension, the Village Council remains eager to hear from as many voices as possible.
In the context of Pinecrest’s existing vision, mission and values, the forthcoming Strategic Planning workshop scheduled for February 7 will mark a pivotal moment for the Village Council. The workshop serves as a platform where the preliminary results from the Pinecrest Citizen Survey will be carefully considered within the framework of the village’s established guiding principles. The Council, cognizant of Pinecrest’s mission to sustain a vibrant community, will use the survey data to further enhance citizen interaction and participation, aligning with the core values of fiscal responsibility and the delivery of high-quality services.
Acknowledging the established vision that Pinecrest aspires to be a highly livable community, the workshop becomes an integral step in refining strategies to achieve this goal. The existing mission to sustain a vibrant village with fiscally responsible governance, high-quality services and infrastructure will be reinforced and fine-tuned with the insights garnered from the citizen survey. The Council’s commitment to protecting residential and neighborhood character, supporting excellence in education, and promoting environmental and economic sustainability will be emphasized during the workshop, ensuring that the strategic planning process is intricately woven into the fabric of Pinecrest’s core values. As the Strategic Planning process unfolds over the next several months, residents can witness the deliberate efforts of the Village Council to align community aspirations with actionable plans, further solidifying Pinecrest’s standing as a highly livable and thriving community.
