Pinecrest Gardens, hidden treasure of exotic tropical landscape, hosts its first baking class with guest Holstein Housewares. The Holstein team will simplify life in the kitchen by introducing children 6-11 years old to the joys of baking at home on December 8, 2012 from 2:00-3:00pm.
During the baking class, kids will decorate delicious cake bites for the Holiday season. The cake bites are all baked in Holstein’s Cake Bite Maker and perfect for portion controlled snacks. This is a more affordable, healthier and faster approach to baking a traditional cake. Baking with Holstein is fun, quick and easy!

Holstein encourages you to be creative in the kitchen with the whole family. Holstein will provide different decorating stations, where kids will learn the importance of portion control, use of ingredients, and then have fun decorating cake bites with yummy ingredients. This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to make decadent treats just in time to awe friends and family this Holiday season.
In just 7 minutes moist cake bites are ready to decorate thanks to Holstein’s Cake Bite Maker, and with the class being an hour long, everyone will have plenty of time to finish their masterpieces to enjoy during the class and bring home!

It has taken more than a half-century for Pinecrest Gardens to evolve into the lush oasis of towering banyans, natural streams filled with turtles, Japanese Koi, and a lake that provides a home for an array of magnificent water fowl. In addition, the site contains remnants of the original bed of Snapper Creek. Pinecrest Gardens features over 1,000 varieties of rare tropical and exotic plants, and has long served the South Florida community as an educational resource for natural science teachers, students and researchers. Among the facilities you’ll find a children’s Splash ‘N Play water amusement area, a petting zoo, playground and picnic areas and spectacular landscapes. There is a 500 seat outdoor theater and several meeting and party venues. The site was designated as an individual historic site pursuant to the Metropolitan Dade County Historic Preservation Ordinance on December 19, 1990 and on October 17, 2011, the National Park Service announced the addition of Pinecrest Gardens to the National Register of Historic Places.
