Pinecrest Gardens’ Renowned Fine Arts Festival Goes Virtual in 2021.

We are excited to announce that for the first time ever, Pinecrest Gardens will be hosting their celebrated Fine Arts Festival on line so that you can attend this amazing display of exquisite works of art from the safety of your own home. This two day event will take you on a journey through many individual galleries of local, regional and international artists. Browse or shop paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry and wearable art for yourself or your favorite Valentine. Now is your chance to support the arts and artists in these economically challenging times. All artwork viewed will be available for purchase from the artist directly. Do your part for fine art while enjoying this immersive cultural experience on Saturday and Sunday, January 23 and 24, and witness first-hand the convergence of fine art and virtual reality. 7th Annual Environmental Art Contest: Indigenous Plants & People
A Virtual Eco-Art Contest
The Pinecrest Gardens seventh annual environmental contest “Indigenous Plants & People” is a visual, virtual arts contest that prompts students to create a piece of art inspired by the nature that depicts the theme “Indigenous Plants and People.” Entries will be uploaded to the contest website where they will be displayed in a virtual contest. The winners will be selected by a public voting process. We would love for each and every one of you to take the time to celebrate the talent of these amazing young artists while casting your vote.

Winning students and their schools will be receiving some very generous prize money provided by the Corradino Group. The contest is open to students in grades 4-12 of Miami-Dade public and private schools. Cash prizes are awarded to winners. The contest follows the CPALMS and Next Gen standards for visual art and science for grades 4-12. Contest closes Tuesday, January 19th, 11:59 p.m. ET and Public Voting to select winners will be January 20th through January 24th. Voting window closes at 12:00 noon on Sunday, January 24, and winners will be announced at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 24.

The Art of Paper Making
Miami Paper museum brings Paper Making to Pinecrest Gardens!
In this class you will make your own beautiful handmade paper using plant material from the Garden. Learn techniques of papermaking from the first century, including history and secrets from the invention of paper. Design and create beautiful paper products to take home in our beautiful botanical backdrop. This workshop has limited capacity and will occur at Pinecrest Gardens. All materials are included. This workshop is appropriate for families, adults and children!
