Pinecrest launched the MyPinecrest app to create a virtual dialogue between Village staff and the community. It is the official service request tool for Pinecrest.
Residents and visitors can download MyPinecrest via the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). A quick registration to begin using the app is required.
Service requests are routed to the appropriate staff and can be accompanied by a picture. For example, if one is reporting a pothole or graffiti, a picture can be sent with the service request. The user will receive a case number and progress alerts – received, processing and completed.
Users can also track the Pinecrest People Mover in real-time. A Where Am I option shows the user their current GPS location and displays the closest stops and routes. The Easy Tracker option displays the current location of the People Mover. Routes Tracker displays each route and refreshes the location of the People Mover in real-time. If the user selects a stop, this option will display the People Mover’s estimated time of arrival. And the My Stops option allows the user to select favorite stops and receive updates for daily times of arrival for each stop.
Other app capabilities include browsing other requests, watching Village Council meetings, reporting non-emergency issues, and viewing inspection updates.
