Pinecrest teenager helping raise money for Israel

A 14-year-old Pinecrest resident saw what was happening in Israel and knew she had to help. Serafina Moskowitz, known as “Feeny” to her friends, was already dedicating a lot of her time to making candles and making bracelets for her own business, Sunny Days Ahead, where she ships merchandise all over the country.

This has always been a passion project for Feeny. From the start she vowed to give 10 percent of all profits to Paws4You. But then in October, the horrific events in Israel moved her to do more.

She always lives by the expression “actions speak louder than words,” so Feeny decided to make part of her business an “Israel Strong” division. She started making bracelets and candles with her “Israel Strong” logo on them. It was important that 100 percent of all proceeds go directly to the victims of the attacks in Israel. Her products were immediately in great demand, selling out quickly.

“I needed a light to burn bright for all of the victims,” says Feeny. “My family and Temple Beth Am taught me that one person can make a difference.”

Feeny sells her products on-line (https://www.sunnydaysahead.online/product-page/israel-strong-candle) and at bazaars and local markets.

Starting when she was just 10, Feeny has been making and selling homemade jewelry with her 9-year-old sister Samantha. She makes her products from her Pinecrest home in Miami, Florida and during summers at her home in Highlands, NC.
