Rotary District 6990 hosts gala benefiting The Rotary Foundation

Rotary District 6990 recently hosted a spectacular gala to benefit The Rotary Foundation at the beautiful home of Dr. Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer in Weston, Florida. The evening brought together dedicated Rotarians and distinguished guests to celebrate service, philanthropy, and the impact of Rotary’s global humanitarian efforts.

The event’s esteemed guests of honor included Ligia Corredor, Robin Shelley, and Dr. Mohsin and Fauzia Jaffer, all members of the prestigious Arch Klumph Society. Named after Rotary’s sixth president and founder of The Rotary Foundation, the Arch Klumph Society recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to service by contributing $250,000 or more. Their generosity exemplifies the spirit of Rotary’s mission to create lasting change in communities worldwide.

Other distinguished attendees included Rotary International Zones 33/34 Director Patrick Eakes, who joined the celebration in recognizing the tremendous support and commitment of Rotary members in advancing The Rotary Foundation’s work.

Rotary District 6990 proudly serves Broward County, Miami-Dade County, Monroe County, and Grand Bahama Island. With 50 Rotary clubs and more than 1,700 dedicated members, the district remains committed to service above self, fostering impactful projects in education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and disaster relief. Through events like this gala, Rotary District 6990 continues to drive meaningful change, empowering communities both locally and globally.
