GARDEN CORNER:
The Baldcypress, Taxodium distichum, stands as a living testament to the resilience and beauty of the southern wetlands. At Pinecrest Gardens, we proudly protect a significant population of these ancient trees, which have withstood centuries of storms and development. These towering giants, reaching over 140 feet, are not only a powerful symbol of the South but also a crucial part of our natural heritage, echoing the legacy of the Tequesta people who once lived among them.
