Pinecrest resident Susan Weissberg, president of Wylly’s Professional Travel in Coral Gables, has been named to Conde Nast Traveler’s Top Travel Specialist Report for the fourth consecutive year. The 11th annual report showcases the world’s best travel agents and singles out Weissberg as a specialist in Middle East/Israel travel.
More than 10,000 travel agents and tour operators vied for the honor, with only 135 making the list this year. To be considered, candidates undergo a rigorous screening process that includes an in-depth application, sample itineraries, extensive phone interviews and client references. The selected travel agents must have first-hand destination experience, offer authentic itineraries appealing to a broad client base, and have earned a reputation for exceeding customer expectations. The results are published in the August issue of Conde Nast Traveler.

Weissberg is highly qualified as a specialist in Israel, a destination she has cultivated through 40 years of first-hand knowledge, including 10 years as a travel agent in Tel Aviv where her career began. Often, Weissberg, who is fluent in Hebrew, will accompany groups on tours of the country, giving her inside perspective to clients. In nearly four decades of selling travel to the Middle East, Weissberg has built strong relationships with key travel partners to deliver VIP treatment for clients, including breaking waitlists, providing special perks, and securing hardto- get reservations at the most popular restaurants.
