Starting at just over $36,000, the 2022 Kia Stinger Scorpion GT-Line is a well-built, well-designed machine.

As always, I like options, so I am glad that Kia offers two engine options, each paired with a uniquely optimized version of Kia’s 8-speed automatic transmission for fast, seamless shifting and decisive acceleration. There is the all new 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and the available 3.3-liter V6 engine also features a new electronic variable exhaust valve with great performance.
The real-wheel drive four-cylinder model gets 22 miles per gallon in the city, 32 miles per gallon on the highway and a combined 25 miles per gallon. In the all-wheel drive models the fuel mileage is a combined 21 miles per gallon for the four-cylinder model and 17 miles per gallon in the six-cylinder model. So it’s important to compare, if fuel efficiency is a key buying point for you.
The GT-class characteristics of the long hood, deeply raked windshield and low-slung cabin gives the appearance that it is moving even when it is parked. It’s also got a drag-reducing exterior design to improve aerodynamic performance.
