ADULT PROGRAMS
Art Talk: Intimate Visions of Nature | Saturday, November 23, 11:30 a.m.
Meet and listen to the artists involved in Intimate Visions of Nature, an exhibition featuring artists whose works explore how we experience, consider and interact with nature. Their personal interpretations present unique elemental visions of nature, highlighting the form and surface of the natural world’s intricate details. This program is presented in partnership with Hartvest Project.
Garden Societies
Pinecrest Gardens is proud to host a variety of plant societies and creative groups dedicated to botanical beauty and artistic expression. The Pinecrest Garden Club, South Florida Orchid Society (Nov. 20), and Florida Native Plant Society (Nov. 26) meet monthly, offering unique insights into their respective crafts. Additionally, the South Florida Jewelry Arts Guild (Nov. 21) provides a hands-on space for artists working with diverse materials. Find your group at pinecrestgardens.org.
YOUTH PROGRAMS
Environmental Art Contest | Theme: People of Miami | Submission Window Open Now
Students of Miami-Dade County are invited to enter the 11th annual Environment Art Contest. The Student Art Contest prompts students to celebrate the incredible people who make Miami the unique and dynamic city it is. We’re inviting students in grades 4-12 to research, learn about, and showcase an inspiring person of Miami through your artwork. The submission window is open now and closes January 9. Select student works will be exhibited during our Art & Design Fair at Pinecrest Gardens on January 25 and 26, 2025. We look forward to seeing the pieces of art your students create for this contest. Candlelight Ballet: Tchaikovsky & More | Friday, November 15, 6:30 and 9 p.m.
Experience a magical evening at Pinecrest Gardens with a new and unique “Ballet” candlelight concert in the glow of candlelight, featuring music the music of Tchaikovsky & More. Enjoy iconic pieces like Brahms “Hungarian Dance No. 5 in G Minor,” Tchaikovsky “Serenade for Strings in C Major,” and the music from Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker and more.

Little Lizards: Art Naturally | Wednesday, November 27, 2 p.m.
Many people who draw, paint, sculpt and photograph draw their inspiration from natural areas like Pinecrest Gardens. Join us in November to get your creative juices flowing and make some art in our gardens. This month we will learn about the color wheel, go on an art scavenger hunt, and more!
