Westminster Christian School in Palmetto Bay celebrated the beginning of another school year with its annual Back to School Picnic and Fireworks on Friday, Aug. 14.
Held on the school’s athletic fields, nearly 2,000 people attended the annual event which draws families from preschool through 12th grade. Parents and students renewed friendships and enjoyed a time of fellowship and fun before the first day of school on Monday, Aug. 17.
“Our students and families look forward to this event each year because it eases the transition into another school year,” said Pete Cabrera, WCS superintendent. “They love to see old friends and meet new students joining the WCS family.”
