‘Why don’t you expand?’

Q.
HELEN, The Palace seems so successful and provides amazing service. Why haven’t you expanded your concept and opened more communities across the country?

A.
Creating our Palace communities has been the focus of my family’s life for nearly 40 years. For Jacob and me, and now our sons Zack and Haim, The Palace is, first and foremost, a labor of love. We are honored by the trust you place in us to create a comfortable, secure and welcoming home for your loved ones. Your family becomes our extended family. With this thought forefront in our minds and hearts, our philosophy is completely “hands on.” When you stroll around one of our communities, you’ll more than likely find one of us there: listening to residents while sharing a meal, checking in with staff, making sure everything is running smoothly and meeting our standards.

Jacob and I are often asked why we don’t expand… why we don’t grow…But we are well aware that over-expansion is one of the leading causes of business failure. And we don’t want to make this mistake!

At the core of what we promise our residents is that we directly oversee each community, each and every day. We are on-site ensuring all aspects meet or exceed our standards. We are well aware that by expanding too much, we could spread ourselves too thin and not deliver the personalized oversight that is our hallmark. We consider the idea of expansion very carefully.

Our strict insistence on providing the highest level of service has gotten us noticed, both by being the recipient of prestigious industry awards, and by offers from major conglomerates to purchase our communities. However, answering to a faceless outside corporation or going public is not our plan. We’re not going to have our hands tied by “corporate red tape.”

The Palace’s function is clear: to provide carefree living in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, offering residents and their families total peace of mind. Our Independent Living, Assisted Living or Nursing and Rehabilitation facilities all aim to do just that. It takes hands-on, caring management to deliver on that promise. That’s the reason why we will ensure our Palace communities will not be run by some distant corporate CEO headquartered in New York or LA. Their main focus is the bottom line, not our residents.

We are here for you always. Residents know they can call or email us at any time, or speak to us while we’re on-site. So yes, The Palace will grow and evolve, but, we’ll do it our way: keeping standards high, putting residents first.

Good news is that The Palace will begin construction very soon on a brand new Senior Living Community in the vibrant city of Weston. Look for more information in the near future.
