Children ages 6-14 will explore and learn from nature at Deering Estate’s Winter Camp.
Two four-day sessions are available. Session One will take place from Dec. 26 to 29, and Session Two will run from Jan. 2 to 5, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A one day mini-camp will be offered on Fri- day, Dec. 22
SESSION I: “TRAIL BLAZERS” Tuesday–Friday, Dec. 26-29 Campers will get in touch with their inner trail blazer by trekking and exploring through Deering Estate’s natural areas.
They will learn how to survive in the unique habi- tats and about the important conservation ef- forts for preserving biodiversity.
SESSION II: “ADVENTURE AWAITS” Tuesday-Friday, Jan. 2-5, 2024 Campers will channel their inner Indiana Jones as they uncover the mysteries of the Deering Estate and its past.
Activities in- clude dissections, archeological explo- rations, a hike to the Deering Cliffs, science experiments and more. The cost is $160 per session and space is limited.
